 Our laser kits are being offered in different materials:

Wood:
We recommend MDF as material.

MDF:
a medium density fiber board, made from woodpowder and adhesives.
Material thickness: 3mm

Advantages:
very even surface
easy to work with
cheap

Disadvantages:
easier to break
A spray-on primer is advisable.

Birch plywood:
a multilayered real wood material, normally made from 3 layers. Russian Birch.
Material thickness: 3mm

Advantages:
higher bending- and breaking points
easy to work with

Disadvantages:
rough to the touch
a bit more expensive
May need to be sanded before painting to have a smoother surface. A spray-on primer is recommended.
Thickness may vary up to 0,5 mm due to production tollerances.

Acrylic:
A plastik material
Material thickness: 3mm

Here an overview of the selection of colors that we offer:

Advantages:
available in a variety of colors
high breakpoint, slightly bendable
very transparent, some colors have fluorescent properties
Great for LED lighting

Disadvantages:
expensive
easy to scratch if not handled properly
